Project 10 – 120 books for Muslim Inmates at Washington Corrections Center, Washington State.
This project was our first venture in Washington state, and we set out to purchase 60 copies each of Bakkah Publications‘ “40 Hadeeth“ Workbook and “The Never-Ending Trials of Life” at a wholesale price of $1060, for 100% free distribution, to the Muslim inmates, at Washington Corrections Center, Washington State. When we conducted our phone interview with the chaplain, we discovered that this facility has a small Muslim population that needed Islamic materials. Based on this information, we selected these two books for their religious education, especially when most of the inmates’ activities are in-cell due to COVID.
We launched our fundraiser on February 11, 2021, through PayPal Money Pool, and likewise, we promoted it to our supporters via Twitter.
By the favor of Allah and then through the generous donations we received from our 24 contributors, the full amount was raised on February 13, 2021, walhamdulilāh.

We notified the chaplain that the books were ordered and he told us that “I’m confident the men will greatly appreciate your thoughtful donation. Thank you for supporting our population”!
UPDATE [March 3, 2021]: The chaplain confirmed that they have received the books we shipped. They will begin distributing it to the inmates in shaa Allah.
