Project 23 – 131 Books To Muslim Inmates In Potosi Correctional Center, Missouri (RAMADHAAN BOOK DRIVE 1444H)

For our third Ramadhaan book drive in 1444H, we turned our focus to the Muslim inmates in Missouri.

This was our very first time launching a project in that state walhamdulilāh.

We were very excited to have the opportunity to send them 131 copies of “Forty Hadith Concerning the Fast of Ramadan” authored by our teacher,  Abu al-Hasan Malik Al-Akhdar and published by Al-Rahmaniyyah Press.

This book covers numerous topics related to the issue of fasting in Ramadhaan and it is a tremendous resource for the Muslim inmates to learn about issues connected to fasting and how to observe it in the proper manner.

We requested from our generous supporters to assist us in raising the funds needed to acquire these books and get them shipped to the prison.

Below is a brief timeline of this project:

• March 7, 2023 – We announced the launch of the project on our Twitter and daily reminders were posted to urge people to donate and help us reach our goal
• March 8, 2023 –  We passed more than half our fundraising goal walhamdulilāh
• March 9, 2023 – Alhamdulilāh we reached our goal and we sent out a tweet informing our supporters and made dua’a for them

[UPDATE]: March 11, 2023 – We are pleased to announce that the books have been purchased and shipped to the Muslim inmates.

More details will be added on this page once we receive confirmation of receipt from the prison in shaa Allah.

These projects are very important as by the permission of Allah, they contribute to the spread of the da’wah within the prisons.
